Stock Pot Lid
New England Style Clam Bake / Boil?
I'm thinking about making a clam bake in the room. I've never done before, but here's my plan. Cover the bottom of the pot with new potatoes, covered with seaweed, then put the layer of sausage and corn on the cob, algae, mussels then / algae, clams / seaweed, lobsters and then at the top. I would use white wine and water with a bouquet garni and stock food with steam. I was planning to let steam for 15 minutes with lid on, and then 15 with the top, and serve. Does this sound correct? Any suggestions or ideas? Thank you.
Your plan sounds good. Here is a recipe can use as reference: CLAM clams steam or boil the potatoes White (halved jackets) Sweet potatoes (halved with jackets) dogs sausages (mild) sausage (cut into 2-inch lengths) Eggs (optional) melted butter Crushed red pepper (not the dry type – in this wet and found in the department of brine in the market) Onions (whole, peeled) Put steamers or mussels in the bottom of large pot with 2 inches of water. Then layer white and sweet potatoes, sausages, frankfurters, sausage, onions, eggs and a good sized onion located right at the top. Mix 1 tablespoon of red pepper with 1 / 2 cup water and pour the mixture to filter through boiling. Cover pot with lid and bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let steam. When the great right place at the top of onion is cooked – this is boiling, about 1 1 / 2 hours. Serve with melted butter and broth to boil for dipping clams. ENJOY!
